Imagining An Island

Updated: Sep 16, 2020

Very pleased to have two photographs chosen for the Imagining An Island open call. The request was for submissions of photography responding to the themes of Landscape, People, and Place. The online exhibition is part of a (now) virtual symposium that is taking place at the end of September at Taigh Chearsabhagh - link here.

My submitted work is a small section of an ongoing, and so far largely unreleased project originating from the island of Gasaigh in South Uist. The project focuses on the interactions of people on the landscape so there was some obvious similarities in thematics with the open call. You can see the work in context in exhibition Room 2 by clicking here.

The quality of the work on show is as high as it is varied. I highly recommend spending the time visiting the galleries at imaganinganisland.org

Congratulations to all in the exhibition and a large thank you to all those responsible for organising this and the forthcoming symposium at the end of the month.
