Waxwings

An irruption of Waxwings has been taking place. I've been watching with envy notifications of flocks on Uist, Barra and more. Thankfully a small group arrived in Lochboisdale yesterday.

Waxwings like berries, and these are hard to come by in Lochboisdale. The flock was mobile and restless so I was unable to get any photos this time, but it seemed like a good enough reason to visit my archive and have a look at some photos from previous waxwing encounters.
