Not only are Stonechats good looking birds, they also have a lot of character. I've visited this pair of Stonechats on South Uist several times over the spring and early summer, and on my last visit was pleased to find some juveniles making demands on the parents. Stonechats that are resident or partially migratory (and especially with the long days in the Uists) can have three broods in a season so there will be many more opportunities to spend time with these great little birds.
